MAPS

These maps are based on the layout of ancient Rome, though for the "Layout of the Rome Model Map," the monuments on the periphery are pushed in to make the model more compact.  The central section of the city, running from the Colosseum to the Roman Forum and the Imperial Fora, is very close to the actual layout of Rome c. 320 CE.  The structures farther away from the center are shown in their approximate directions from the center of the city, but their locations are not precise.

The "Layout of the Rome Model Map" and the "Roman Forum Detail Map" can also be found in the Student Assignment Packet and the Teacher's Guide.
